Allow me to paint a picture...

It's Fall 2006. It's a beautiful, not-too cold Saturday afternoon. You're inside, the same place you've been all day, still angry about how they cancelled Arrested Development, and listening to a TV on the Radio bootleg where you swear you can hear the singer ask someone for their number.


You're bored.

You would call your girlfriend but lately she hasn't been picking up her phone that much, and you're getting suspicious of her "friend" from the art supply store who rides a bicycle, and smokes Parliaments, and claims he brought back suspenders.

You decide to call your friend Peter, but then you remember that he just got caught doing rails in the bathroom at the Starbucks he works at, and now they're making him work weekends.

You sit back on the couch, remembering how in college you used to kick ass at ultimate frisbee. You would play for a few hours, then drink pitchers until you would pass out and the bouncer would roll you down the stairs into the overgrown horseshoe pit.

Suddenly motivation to move takes a hold of you. You want to play ultimate frisbee. You WILL play ultimate frisbee. But where? And how? You turn. You notice your computer. You think, "the internet! That'll solve this problem!" You google "ultimate frisbee in New York City". 64,800 results. Damnit.


You try the first link. Porn. You try the second link. Might be helpful if you
wanted to know where to buy frisbees in New Jersey. You try the third. The fourth. The fifth.....

It's two hours later, and you stopped searching a while ago. You're three beers deep and on YouTube watching the Anne Hathaway topless scenes from Havoc.

The day ends and you're left wondering why in 2006, it wasn't easier to find an ultimate frisbee game.
