This week's installment in FindSportsNow's Guide to Social Interaction is:

The "I'm One Of The Guys"Chick

On the surface this girl seems great. She's good-looking, fun to be with and interested in everything the group of guys in her life are interested in. She can usually be found in sports bars, tailgating in stadium parking lots or eating in big burrito restaurants. She likes buckets of Bud Light and really really big margaritas. She loves big dogs, and makes fun of girls who have teacups. On her MySpace page she counts football on Sunday, wearing old jeans, and playing cards as top interests. She'll even get in on the pizza you order at 4 in the morning (she'll still do the thing where you blot up the grease with a napkin, but some guys do that, so whatever). When asked why she always hangs out with guys, she says, "I just don't get along with girls." In her sorority, she was the "I'm not a sorority girl," sorority girl.


As one might notice, there is a common theme: she's not a typical girl...she's different. You see, at the root of this girl's personality is the never ending pursuit to convince herself and everyone around her that she, "isn't like other girls." She bolsters this idea by going out of her to way to do most social activities in the company of men, including living with them. She says she isn't dramatic, but cries as much as any other girl. She says she isn't sentimental, but has room full of frames with pics of friends and boyfriend(s). She secretly watches Sex and the City and Gray's. When alone, she wears sweatsuits with words on the ass. She claims to be into good music, but also really digs Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Buffet and All-American Rejects. She says she liked Pulp Fiction, but rarely picks up on even the most simple references.


FindSportsNow recommends accepting this girl for what she is. She doesn't know if Kobe deserves the MVP more than KG. She's doesn't really have an opinion about Viggo the Carpathian. But, that's OK. She tries really hard, and is getting a lot better at beer pong.
