Biddy Ball is exactly like basketball except it is played on a shorter court with the baskets lowered, a smaller basketball, and much more relaxed rules.

Biddy ball is a great introduction to the sport of basketball. Lowered rims and relaxed rules make the game enjoyable and allow for a learning of the basics.

Score more points than the opposing team within the allotted amount of time, and learn about the game of basketball.

All games are played on one half of the court, with a smaller-than-normal basketball. The height of the basket is also lowered to 9' off the ground. All rules are lightly enforced, though are theoretically the same as those of traditional basketball.

The origins of biddy ball are unknown, though versions of basketball, simplified for kids, have been played in the United States for years. Due to its introductory nature, biddy ball has traditionally been used as a stepping-stone to traditional basketball. Today, it is widely played throughout the United States and Canada.
