Mountain Bicycling is a type of cycling where riders traverse rough terrain on bicycles outfitted with wide tires and shock absorbers. Overview Mountain biking is the riding of bicycles over rough, rugged terrain. To negotiate this terrain, bikes are equipped wide, knobby tires, large frame tubing and massive shock absorbers. The sport calls for a great deal of endurance and self-reliance due to the nature of the environment where the sport takes place.
