"Not invented by Johnny Knoxville. We swear." Pine Boarding is the sport of boarding down pine needle covered slopes on a skateboard deck (no trucks or wheels). Overview Pine boarding is the sport of gliding down pine needle-covered hills on a wheel-less skateboard deck. Smoothed down to ensure a minimal amount of drag, the deck is heavily concave, reminiscent of an older style of design. A rider's focus is on maintaining control and performing tricks while going downhill. Goal of Pine Boarding Ride a board down a hill covered with pine needles. Rules of Pine Boarding There are no written or standardized rules for pine boarding. Riders however should take weather conditions into account, as overly moist conditions prevent the deck from properly sliding over the needles. Pine Boarding Equipment Deck Helmet Padding Pine Boarding Safety All rocks, branches and pine cones must be removed prior to boarding down a hill. Helmets and padding should also be worn.
