Devils Tower is a world-class destination for crack climbing. Its striking appearance, rising dramatically 1,200 feet above the Wyoming prairie, captures your imagination. Its beautiful, solid rock and unique columnar structure ensure you the ultimate climbing experience. Routes that Summit Devils Tower National Monument provide 500 to 600 feet of climbing, on very solid rock. More than 1,000 rock climbers attempt a route on Devils Tower each season -- less than 1% of the Monument's 400,000 annual visitors. With rock climbing routes that range in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.12 there is opportunity and challenge for everyone. “The Tower is a Teacher” is an axiom that proves itself true, every day.
Guiding your adventure and education will be Tower veteran Frank Sanders, founder of Above All Guides/Devils Tower Lodge. Frank’s climbing career now spans five decades, and he has established more routes and achieved more summits than anyone in Tower history. He recently completed “Project 365,” climbing on the Tower every day for a year, to raise money and awareness for the Native Americans living on the nearby Pine Ridge Reservation. You will rest, recover and reflect in the comfortable, country accommodations of Devils Tower Lodge, located on 21 acres of prairie and ponderosa pine at the base of Devils Tower.
