The Frick Park Lawn Bowling Club offers free introductory lessons, Saturdays at 1 p.m. beginning May 7.
The club provides all necessary equipment for the lesson. Just wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. The lessons and games take about two hours.
Lessons and competitions take place all season at the lanes in Frick Park, 7300 Reynolds Avenue.
The club is recruiting for its youth league. They are also looking for people interested in the mysteriously complex game of croquet.
