OC Walk to Remember - Tustin, CA - www.renegaderaceseries.com. About the Event The OC Walk to Remember takes place in Orange County, California, in October, which is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. We encourage parents to invite their loved ones and friends to join them as they walk in remembrance of their child or children. The walk is preceded by a memorial service, where each baby’s name is read. The memorial service is not just a remembrance but a celebration of each life, no matter how long or short. The walk is a wonderful way for parents to connect with other people who have lost a child. Whether it was a recent loss, or one that happened several years ago, we encourage parents to come walk for the steps your baby will never take. By walking in their name, their memory will live forever. About the Organization Throughout the year, the OC Walk to Remember supports local hospitals and support groups in their efforts to help parents who have lost a baby or babies. We provide them with books, informational brochures and memory boxes, so they can in turn give those to parents in the hospital. Support groups have been able to do things such as hold reunions, distribute books, and give small gifts to parents with the money given to them by the OC Walk to Remember. Throughout the years, we have been asked to provide things such as cameras, photo printers, books and other support materials to hospitals. When a parent is in need of support, they contact the OC Walk to Remember and we are able to provide them with the names of local support groups, therapists, and even other parents who have had losses such as theirs. Whether it is by phone or e-mail, we are always here to make sure a parent has the tools they need to have hope and healing after such a devastating loss. - Zip Codes: 92780, 92781, 92782
