HOT SPOT Basketball Skills Competition in Mercer Island Washington - Mercer Island, WA - City of Mercer Island , Recreation. Our annual Hot Spot competition, presented by Mercer Island Parks and Recreation Department and WRPA, will be held on January 25th from 12 to 2:30 pm. This skills competition is open to girls and boys ages 7 to 14 (as of March 31st, 09) and involves shooting from five "hot spots" marked on the court.
