Cornhusker State Games Adventure Race - Hickman, NE - Nebraska Sports Council. DATE AND TIME: Saturday, July 18. Check-in and Gear Check at 7:30 a.m. Competition for all teams will begin at 8:30 a.m. Race information will be given at check-in time. SITE: Platte River State Park, 14421 346th Street, Louisville, NEPARK PERMITS: State Park permits are needed to enter Platte River State Park. Permits may be purchased at the park entrance or office. Racers and spectators will be ticketed for failure to comply. COMPETITION FORMAT: The Adventure Race is a three-person team event which consists of the following events: *Trail Running *Mountain Biking *Multiple Events (including water) *Climbing Approximate Race Length: 2-4 hours. Order of events will be determined the day of the race. All team members must complete each event. There will not be water stations on the race course. However, water will be available at the headquarters. There will be check stations on the course. All members must participate in each event, and all must finish in order to place. Directors have the right to disqualify teams at any time. Divisions Male 3-Person Team Female 3-Person Team Coed 3-Person Team (at least one female) Masters Open 3-Person Team (each teammate over 40) ENTRY FEE: $25 per person if registered by June 22. $10 late fee per team if received between June 23 and June 29. Entry fee includes athlete T-shirt, passes to the Cornhusker State Games SportFest and Opening Ceremonies and a copy of the Nebraska Sports Council Yearbook. ROSTER CHANGE: Substitutions and additions (up to the maximum roster size) to originally-submitted team rosters will be allowed through July 13 with a $10 roster-change fee for each player change. A Roster Change Form, available only from the Games website at CornhuskerStateGames.com, must be completed by the team representative and submitted to the Games office along with all roster-change fees by 5 p.m. on July 13. AWARDS: Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to all members of the top three teams in each division. All teams will be required to bring the following gear. Race officials will check all gear upon check-in at 7:30 a.m. Mandatory Team Equipment: First Aid Kit suitable for three people One cell phone per team Energy bars/drinks Mandatory Personal Bike Equipment: Mountain Bike (No Road Bikes or Cross Bikes) Hydration packs to carry 40-100 oz. (each teammate) Bike Helmet Recommended Team Equipment: Multi-tool 2 Spare tubes Patch kit 1 waterproof map/passport holder (Zip Loc bag) - Highly recommended Extra water bottles CHOOSE PACKET SHIPPING AND RUN FOR THE BORDER! All athletes who choose packet shipping ($10) will receive a coupon for a FREE Burrito Supreme to be redeemed at any Lincoln Taco Bell. Packet shipping allows you to receive your shirts, yearbooks, event passes and sponsor gifts more than a week before the Opening Ceremonies. Choosing this option means saving time and avoiding hassles like waiting in line or running across town.
